Giti Tire Extends OE Supply

Following Seat Arona and VW Polo, the crossover VW T-Cross, which is manufactured at the Volkswagen Group production facility in Pamplona, Spain, became the third car that uses the fuel-efficient summer tires Giti GitiSynergyE1 as original equipment. For T-Cross, size 205/60 R16 92H was homologated.

According to Giti Tire, the Synergy E1 model was designed by Giti Tire’s European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, with testing at the company’s MIRA facility in the UK as well as in Papenburg, Germany, and IDIADA test track in Spain.

Key attributes of the GitiSynergyE1 include a high-performance ECO tread compound and a special contour design for low rolling resistance which is confirmed by the B grade on the EU Tire Regulation label. In addition, the model boasts enhanced driving and braking characteristics on both wet and dry roads.

Stefan Fischer, Managing Director — Product Technology at Giti Tire Europe, emphasized that the new contract with Volkswagen Group goes to show that the tires manufactured by the company meet the customer demand in all respects. Giti Synergy E1 tire has been designed to meet the customers’ requirements of excellent mileage and low rolling resistance, combined with a sporty, enjoyable drive.
