Bridgestone Turanza 6

Description

The Bridgestone Turanza 6 is a premium touring summer tire designed to deliver top-notch performance. Launched in 2023, it is engineered specifically for passenger vehicles, offering a blend of comfort, efficiency, and durability. This model succeeds the Turanza T005, incorporating advanced technologies to enhance driving experience and safety.

Features & Benefits

  • New Mixing & Filler-Polymer Chemistry: Enhances chemical reaction control, which balances the reinforcing mechanism and improves filler dispersion, resulting in superior performance in wet conditions.
  • Double Angle 3D Washboard Sipes: These sipes help in smoother pressure distribution, which significantly increases mileage and decreases wear.
  • New Divergent Shoulder Lug Design: Optimizes water evacuation, improving traction on wet surfaces and reducing the risk of aquaplaning.
  • Low Gauge Body Ply & Tread Plies: Reduces tire weight and hysteresis, enhancing fuel or energy efficiency due to decreased rolling resistance, and includes an aerodynamic rim guard that minimizes drag forces.

Technologies

  • ENLITEN Technology: Delivers enhanced tire performance while promoting sustainability. This technology reduces the tire's weight, contributing to lower rolling resistance and overall vehicle efficiency.
  • Interlocking Mechanism: Integrated into the tread design, it increases local pattern stiffness and reduces slippage compared to its predecessor, the Turanza T005.

Year Released

The Bridgestone Turanza 6 was introduced to the market in 2023. It serves as the successor to the Bridgestone Turanza T005, incorporating numerous technological advancements over the previous model.

Noisy beyond belief. Feels unsafe even at proper pressure. Might be defective.

Switched to these on my Skoda after the old Bridgestones wore out. Immediate disappointment! From the garage, they felt wrong. Checked the pressure at home – 41psi! Lowered to 35psi, and the ride was noisy and unsafe. Compared to my previous tires, these are terrible. Considering if they're defective or if I should've gone for a budget option. The noise is unbearable, and they don't feel safe at all.

The wet grip on these is phenomenal – no more hydroplaning fears. They also perform excellently on dry roads, giving a solid, safe feeling. My fuel efficiency has gone up, and the comfort level is high. Plus, they're barely showing any wear.
Comments
I slapped these on my 19 Civic a while back, ditching my old Landsail 588s. Took them for a spin from Basel to the French border, and they handled everything I threw at them, including a torrential downpour. These tires stick to the road like glue. In dry conditions, they're just as good – perfect for those twisty mountain roads. Braking? Super responsive, even during sudden stops. My fuel economy shot up to over 50mpg on highways. After 2 k miles, they look barely used. I keep 'em at 34psi, and they give a comfy ride.

Jumping straight in - the Bridgestone Turanza 6 tires are pretty impressive when it comes to handling. They tackle those annoying potholes and bumps with such ease that you'll barely notice them. But, there's a 'but' – they're not the quietest companions on the road. At speeds between 30-50km/h, and again past 90 km/h, they start humming a tune that's hard to ignore.

This noise thing is a bit of a chameleon, really. On fresh, smooth asphalt, they're as quiet as a mouse. But throw in some worn-out, rough roads, and they start to sound off. It's like they're picking a fight with the road surface.
