I’ve always been a Nokian fan, running through models 5, 7, and 8. Got the Hakkapeliitta 9 based on the buzz, but honestly, didn’t feel a huge difference compared to the 8. It’s great on snow, feels stable, and is quiet on packed snow, but gets loud on asphalt. Noticed some slipping on icy corners with my Pajero IV, which I didn’t experience with the 8. Still, they’re decent overall, just not the leap I expected. Might go back to the 8 next time unless something better comes along.

Bought these Hakkapeliitta 9 SUVs new in 2019 made in Finland, and stored them properly. They started cracking after just three seasons—tread, base, sidewalls—all of it. They look like they’re 20 years old, even though they’re only lightly used. Nokian refused to replace them despite their "lifetime warranty," citing age and wear. Really disappointed with the durability. Not recommended if you want long-lasting tires!

I couldn't believe to RWD chevy Colorado 2011 can bet all FWD vehicles in most of situations on icy and snow roads, until I buy hakkapeliitta 9 tire, they completely changed acceleration, stability and breaking.

I just installed stud-less Hakka 9's on our LR Discovery. The thing is unstoppable. I can't believe the lateral grip on these. I was trying to break them loose on our country roads with fresh snow on them just this morning, and struggled to do so at high dry road speeds. Way better than the Scorpion Winters and Conti Wintercontacts i had on other SUV's. They really don't seem that loud to me. That may have something to do with the sound dampening of the vehicle too. I'm sure with studs its a different story.

Replaced my Hakkapita 7 SUVs with these 9s, and honestly, they’re the worst tires Ive used since 1991. They handle deep snow well, but on ice, they’re unpredictable, especially in turns at 45-50 km/h-feels like the cars going to slip off the road. Even on slushy roads, the front end feels unstable when you add gas. Theyre fine if youre driving in a straight line through deep snow, but anything else is a bit stressful. Disappointed, really. Definitely not getting these again; might go back to the 8s or try something else.
