Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S (AT34S) (presented in 2018) is an all-terrain tire for light trucks and SUVs, designed for year-round use in countries with a very soft winter climate. These tires can be used both in the city (60%) and in off-road conditions (40%). The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S performance does not depend on the weather conditions. The tire behaves equally confidently both in hot and cold weather, tightly contacting unstable and hard surfaces, which was achieved through the introduction of the manufacturerэs proprietary technology called Cooper Adaptive-Traction. The tire tread is made of innovative silica-based rubber compound. It strengthens the Discoverer AT3 4S wet grip, increases the tire’s resistance to tear and puncture, and reduces rolling resistance. The aggressive Cooper Sure-Grip five-rib design provides a possibility of off-road driving, combined with superb traction on wet and dry pavement. The zigzagging sipes on the tread blocks contribute to the vehicle’s stability, while the deep circumferential grooves reduce the risk of hydroplaning. The unique graded shape of the circumferential water evacuation grooves also helps prevent rocks from getting stuck in the tread. To tackle the harshest of weather conditions, the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S utilizes additional “saw-tooth” elements. These are meant to retain snow in the tread to ensure short stopping distances on snow-covered roads – because nothing sticks to snow better than snow itself!
