Notable Features
The Toyo Proxes CR1 tire model was presented in 2020 in Thailand. It is noted that the outstanding wet traction and quick evacuation of water from the contact area were ensured by the tire’s highly developed drainage system, based on wide circumferential grooves.
Their action is further strengthened by auxiliary diagonal sipes that also help to evenly distribute the pressure across the contact patch, thanks to which the Proxes CR1 tire behaves in a more predictable way during emergency braking or lane switching.
Thanks to the use of the proprietary T-MODE technology, the Toyo Proxes CR1 tire is characterized by a smooth ride and low noise emission, which makes driving on these tires extremely comfortable.
The SUV version of this tire model will be called Toyo Proxes CR1 SUV; however, it is yet unclear when exactly this model is going to be launched on the market, and whether it will get the same tread pattern.

What is good?
Soft. quiet and comfortable ride. Good grip in the dry. Looks like it will last a long time.
What is bad?
Wet grip only average, about normal for an entry level "good brand" tire. Needs correct pressure, if not steering feels soft.

Tire wall will easily bloated if rim encounter potholes!

What is good?
The most comfortable tyre I have ever had on my W176 Mercedes A-Class. (I've had 3 other brands). Silent on smooth surfaces and quieter than the others on coarse surfaces too. Previous tyres were Falken ZEIX ZE914 EcoRun, which were also quiet, but a bit thumpy over sharp road imperfections, which the Proxes CR1 are much better at absorbing.
What is bad?
Steering response is a little slower than my previous tyres but OK, and I think the rolling resistance is no better than the Falken either, which although labelled EcoRun, were not good compared to my Bridgestone Ecopia before. Wet grip of the CR1 is above average, and almost as good as the soft-compound, short-life (20k km front, Treadwear 340) Falkens.

Too early for wear info but if I can get 30k km from these 360 Treadwear tyres, I will consider the comfort, grip, life, price package to be perfect for me and my car.

What is good?

I don't know what those other people are writing about this tire's lack of strength. I drove into a pothole, bent my wheel rim and damaged my top strut mount, and my tire is still 100 percent fine. Prone to damage? Definitely not!
