Description
The Yokohama ADVAN Sport ZPS is a max-performance summer tire designed for passenger and performance cars, incorporating Yokohama's Zero Pressure System (ZPS) run-flat technology. Released in 2007, this tire is an evolution of the ADVAN Sport V103, providing enhanced grip, wet traction, and durability while allowing safe operation even after a complete loss of air pressure.
Features & Benefits
- Run-Flat Capability: The ZPS technology enables the tire to support the vehicle's weight during air pressure loss, allowing continued driving for up to 50 miles at speeds up to 50 mph.
- Competitive Grip: The advanced tread compound, enriched with high-grade silica and polymers, offers superior wet and dry traction, enhancing overall vehicle performance.
- Excellent Wet Traction: The asymmetric tread design, featuring four wide circumferential grooves, efficiently evacuates water, reducing the risk of hydroplaning.
- Long Tread Life: The tire's construction and groove design minimize stress, promoting even wear and extending tread life.
- Nanotechnology Tread Compound: This compound increases flexibility, durability, and contact area, providing better traction in both wet and dry conditions.
- Variable Rounded Grooves: These grooves help prevent one-sided abrasion and maximize performance on wet surfaces.
- Unique Sidewall Reinforcement: A low-heat-generating compound supports the tire during run-flat operation, maintaining performance and stability.
- Supportive Bead Filler: Provides a comfortable ride during normal operation and high rigidity under zero-pressure conditions.
- Durable Bead Wire: Extra-thick and arranged in a hexagonal pattern, this bead wire reduces the risk of unseating after air pressure loss.

After over six months of using these tires, I’m really pleased with their performance. They grip the road like a dream, especially when I’m pushing the car a bit faster on the highway. What surprised me the most, though, is how quiet they are—makes for a much more pleasant drive. That said, they do feel a bit stiff when I hit rough patches on the road, but it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make for the stability they provide. Overall, they’ve exceeded my expectations, and I’d definitely recommend them.

I’m not entirely satisfied. The tread seems to be wearing down quicker than I anticipated, which is a bit disappointing. Plus, they’ve gotten noisier as they’ve aged, which wasn’t an issue when I first got them. They’re still decent, but I expected more for the price I paid.

The car feels really responsive, especially when I’m taking tight corners. But, they do make the ride a bit rougher, which I notice more when I’m driving around town where the roads aren’t exactly smooth. Despite that, the handling they offer is top-notch, so I’m happy with them overall.
