These tires came factory-fitted on our Mazda 8 MPV, and while they’re comfortable and quiet for city driving, they really struggle in the wet. It’s almost too easy to get them spinning when starting from a stop, especially on rainy days. And don’t even get me started on cornering over a wet manhole – it’s like the car just wants to slip away. They lasted about 45k km, but I wouldn’t recommend them if you live in a rainy area.

After 26k miles, they’re holding up pretty well. The fronts are down to 3mm, and the rears have 5mm left, so they’ve worn quite evenly considering the usage. They’re not the cheapest, but for a small, undemanding car like mine, they’re a reliable choice. Just don’t expect them to perform like high-end sport tires, especially in wet conditions.
