Description

Yokohama tires are designed to perform better, keep you safer, and take you further. The iceGuard iG51v delivers durability and handling in winter conditions. Zigzag circumferential grooves feature a 3D-shaped wall to pack and expel snow. Slush grooves are strategically placed to disperse slush and snow.

  • Wet traction (Dual-action shoulder grooves are straight at the bottom to evacuate water)
  • Resistance to wear (A high-density reinforced compound allows for a more stable tread block, providing longer more even wear)
  • Winter traction (Interlocking and adaptive 3D sipes work in tandem to enhance stability and grip on icy surfaces)

I live in the region with a lot of snow, so snow and ice traction is more important to me than ride and noise. I have been used winter tires on my cars for 23 years so I've used most brands by now. The noise level is low I would say. Snow and ice traction is excellent. My minivan is like a 4 wheel drive in the snow. So far I am very pleased with the purchase. Simply tire, excellent price.
