Seven tires pounded on - and off -road to find suitable all-terrain rubber for your 4x4.

The 17-inch tire test included models from Hankook, Nexen, Maxxis, Dunlop, Bridgestone, Goodyear and Falken, which were installed on an Isuzu D-Max LS-U pickup. Tests were held in Queensland: the tires were tested for braking on dry and wet asphalt, for cornering, and also for off-road performance on gravel, stones and dirt. The tests were carried out using the “blind” method - the experts behind the wheel did not know which tires were currently installed.
