The BFGoodrich brand has released a new all-terrain tire BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A, designed for any weather conditions and meant to make your journey to the start of a mountain bike trail or a ski resort as safe as possible.
«Over the past decade, growth in outdoor recreation has led to significant demand for AWD-equipped CUVs, SUVs and trucks," said Stephen Peters, BFGoodrich brand director. «Vehicle manufacturers and consumers are demanding vehicles that give them light off-pavement capability while still maintaining fuel economy. The BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A tire fills a void in our current portfolio and is purposely built for these consumers who want on-road-focused performances with light off-pavement adventure capability.»
The Trail-Terrain T/A tire is designed to resist chipping and tearing in occasional gravel road usage. The serrated shoulder design is optimized for soft-soil traction in light off-pavement situations without compromising road noise.
The Trail-Terrain T/A tire can also be used in winter, and the manufacturer claims that the deep 3D sipes ensure optimum snow traction — 11% stronger compared to the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. The tire also has a three-peak mountain snowflake rating for severe-snow performance. The confluent sipes serve to decrease the tread block deformation, preventing uneven wear, extending tread life, and ensuring a smooth and quiet ride.
The BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A tires are offered in 27 sizes ranging from 235/75 R15 to 285/45 R22, and are available with black or white inscriptions on the sidewalls. The tire is backed by a 97,000 km treadwear warranty.
