Toyota chose Continental as OE for one of the versions of its sports car.
The Toyota Supra sports car, recently presented in Japan in its SZ version, is factory-fitted with Continental ContiSportContact 5 tires, manufactured with the SSR (Self Supporting Runflat) technology, which makes driving possible even if the tire loses its pressure.
Continental ContiSportContact 5 is not the newest Continental model designed to be fitted on sports cars but the company emphasizes that this specific tire is the perfect match for Supra, while its outstanding performance was many times proven by the tests conducted by such reputable industry publications as Germany’s Auto Zeitung and the British Auto Express.
For Supra SZ, the Continental tires are available in sizes of 225/50R17 94W (front wheels) and 255/45R17 98W.
