Since Porsche Cayenne was first presented in 2020, its original equipment Yokohama tires have been its unfailing companions. And they are also staying in this proud status today when a third generation of these legendary SUVs has been launched: since July 2019, the Japanese tire maker has been supplying Porsche with the all-season tires Yokohama Avid GT, which were joined in October by the summer model Yokohama Advan Sport V105 that will also be used as original equipment for Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
Homologated for the luxury Porsche SUVs, the Yokohama tires will be supplied in the following fitments:
- 275/45 R20 110V (front) and 305/40 R20 112V (rear) — Avid GT
- 285/40 R21 109V (front) and 315/35 R21 111V (rear) — Avid GT
- 285/35 ZR22 106Y (front) and 315/30 ZR22 107Y (rear) — Advan Sport V105
Homologated by Porsche Yokohama Avid GT
The all-season tires Yokohama Avid GT increase the vehicle’s fuel efficiency, at the same time ensuring a great handling response and safe driving, while the ultra-high performance tires Yokohama Advan Sport V105 offer great mobility combined with dependable traction and a comfortable ride.
Yokohama, in cooperation with the Porsche engineers, optimized both tire models used as original equipment, and the «N0» sign on the side wall of each of these tires indicates that they have been approved by the auto manufacturer.
Within the framework of it medium-term management plan Grand Design 2020 (GD2020), Yokohama is positioning its presence in the premium class tire market segment as the main direction of its business development. One of the specific strategies for achieving this goal is aimed at strengthening Yokohama’s positions as the supplier of OE tires for luxury cars both in Japan and overseas.
