By reinforcing the rubber compound in the sidewalls, the engineers reduced the risk of damaging the most vulnerable zones, while the massive shoulder lugs serve to improve impact resistance. The “T/A” letters in the BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 name stand for “Terrain Attack”. Indeed, the deep V-shaped grooves increase the tire’s mud-tackling ability. Special lugs inside the channels prevent mud from sticking, at the same time improving the traction. The large tread blocks increase the grip in all directions. The BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tread compound is designed to enhance traction on rocky terrain and loose soil, while the elastic inner construction makes it possible to safely use the tire at reduced inflation pressure.
