I have been using the Continental ContiProContact SSR tires on my Alfa Romeo Giulia 2.0 with tire size 225/45 R18. These tires have been excellent for everyday use, providing great performance on both dry and wet surfaces. Despite some people saying that run-flat tires make the ride bumpy, I didn’t notice this on my Giulia. The only downside is the mileage; I only managed to get 22,000 miles out of these tires, even though I rotated them annually. This was a similar issue with the Bridgestone Turanza EL450 RFT OEM tires I had before. The wear is more prominent on the shoulders, which could be due to the tires being run-flats or the OEM setup by Alfa Romeo.

After 10,000 miles, they are getting very noisy, and the comfort is not what I expect from a luxury car and tire.

I’m currently looking for a replacement set due to the poor ride quality and increased noise.

These might be great tires for a van but perhaps not the best choice for a car.
Comments
I got these SSR tires on my Ford Focus MK3 with tire size 215/55 R16 for summer 2019. They are reasonably good in dry conditions but tend to squeal early before understeering safely. In extreme heat, they hold up well. However, they are not very impressive in wet conditions, but at least they won’t try to kill you. They are noisy and slightly harsh at highway speeds, but surprisingly sturdy off-road considering they were fitted on an FWD compact car. They provide decent grip and no punctures by pinching the sidewall.
