Drove these for 5 winters on my Volkswagen, mostly on motorways. First four years, they were awesome – secure, balanced, handled well in all conditions. But the 5th winter? Man, it felt like someone switched off the winter performance. Car was all over the place on snow with 5.5mm tread left. Flat spots all over. First two years, they were a solid 8+, but by the fifth year, I'd rate them a 3. Maybe good for short-term use, but don't count on them long-term.

Drove through the whole 2015/16 winter season with these Hankook Winter i*cept evo2 W320s on my Audi A4 in Eastern Europe... Mild winter conditions mostly, but these tires held up great! Super comfortable, solid grip on ice and snow, and even after 30k miles, they still look good. Can't beat the price for the quality you get. Honestly, for a winter tire that does it all, these are a steal.

I live in the region with a lot of snow on the roads during the winter, so that my choise is these tires. I'm extemely happy with their work on snow and ice roads! And in slush they do great, I haven't had any hydroplaning, I felt as if my car sticked to the road. The ride is comfortable and quiet.
What is bad?
No shortcomings.
