Laufenn G FIT EQ+ (Plus) is a high performance summer tire that ensures great handling response, efficient braking, outstanding ride comfort in any road conditions, and increased fuel efficiency.

Presented by Korea’s Hankook Tire in 2020, the new tire model Laufenn G FIT EQ+ is positioned by the tire maker as the new-generation version of G FIT EQ, which debuted on the market five years ago. At the same time, the pattern code of this model – LK41 – just as its tread design, remained unchanged. What makes the new model different is its tread compound formula. The use of the new silica-reinforced compound led to a significant reduction of the braking distance ensured by the “plus” version, particularly on wet pavement. The construction of the circumferential grooves speeds up evacuation of water from the contact area, increasing the Laufenn G FIT EQ Plus grip on the road, thus ensuring the stability of steering feedback and great handling response in the wet. The sipes on the tread blocks on the inner shoulder area of the asymmetric tread pattern also improve not only the road holding ability while driving in the rain but also the cornering stability.

The special elements at the bottom of the drainage grooves ensure a quicker removal of water from the contact patch, improving the tire’s overall performance. The improved silica mixing technology, implemented in the 2nd generation Laufenn tread compound, is responsible for the enhanced performance by the Laufenn G FIT EQ+ LK41 on wet pavement without compromising the other capabilities of the tire.

The outer shoulder blocks do not have any sipes, which was done in order to increase their sturdiness and maneuverability. The tension strips connecting the shoulder blocks increase the ruggedness of the shoulder areas for maximum grip on the road during emergency maneuvers, as well as for preventing uneven treadwear.

The optimized depth of the sipes in the central section of the tread pattern ensures a smooth and comfortable ride on the Laufenn LK41 G FIT EQ+. The multistep tread design of G FIT EQ+ ensures the lowest possible vibration, and also increases the ride comfort. The upgraded profile of the tire enhances its braking performance and reduces uneven treadwear thanks to the balanced distribution of weight in the contact area.

The Laufenn LK41 was launched on the market simultaneously with the Laufenn LK01 S FIT EQ+ model.
