Maxxis Arctic Trekker SP-02 Latest Reviews
What is good?
Quiet, handles well on wet roads, predictable braking
What is bad?
Soft compound can cause slight slippage on dry asphalt.
What is bad?
In slush, they feel downright dangerous at 60 km/h—especially in Krasnodars milder winters. They might be okay in heavy snow, but for slush and milder climates, they a bad choice. These tires just dont inspire confidence.
What is good?
I noticed that they actually handle better when it’s cold than when it’s warmer. From -2C to -20C, these tires really shine. They perform well on asphalt and do better than average in snow. Havent gotten stuck even once, even though last year, my cottage road wasnt plowed at all. I had to engage the front axle, but once I did, the tires plowed through effortlessly.
