These 8060 tires are really for offroad.

But as soon as you hit serious ice or packed snow, you’d better not even think about touching the brake pedal.

They do great in mud and deep snow, but on asphalt, they’re loud—friends say they hear the tires before they see the car.

Spent a long time choosing tires in the original 205 70 R15 size. I didn’t want to change the size—I’m not into that kind of thing. Initially thought I needed A/T tires, but realized they’re no good in mud, so I started looking for mud tires. But then I wondered, how do you drive mud tires every day? My driving is 70% city, 30% off-road. Finally, I found the Maxxis Trepador M8060 and decided to give them a try. After 6000 km, I can say the ride is smoother, and it absorbs bumps well. I feel like I’ve changed the suspension! A slight downside is a bit of a drop in acceleration dynamics, but nothing critical. These tires make my vehicle perform like a proper off-roader. Overall, I think this tire should be standard on vehicles like mine.

They grip better on ice than other studded tires IHAve used and in deep snow, they work great. The tread and side lugs do an excellent job of getting the vehicle out when its stuck. Really impressed with these tires
