The new Nokian Nordman SZ2 summer tire offers convincingly precise handling. This new high-performance product can retain control on asphalt and gravel alike. Developed for heavy-duty use and higher speeds, this new product is in the UHP category, which is the top tier for passenger car tires.

Main innovations:

Hydro Grooves. Better driving stability, wet grip, and aquaplaning properties. The longitudinal ribs next to the inner shoulder are dominated by deep lateral grooves that stabilize handling. At the same time, the new Hydro Grooves innovation effectively prevents aquaplaning by storing water from between the surface and the tire, and by guiding the water into the longitudinal grooves. Hydro Grooves Swoop Grooves. Effectively prevents aquaplaning. The elliptical slots on the transversal grooves on the inner shoulder store more water, as the volume of the transversal grooves increases. This improves the aquaplaning characteristics. The transversal grooves are also cut to be more open, which accelerates the flow of exhaust water. Swoop Grooves Silent Groove Design. More driving comfort. The circular, golf ball-like indentations on the walls of the transversal grooves control the airflow. They prevent the creation of an unpleasant, howling sound. The design makes driving comfortably quiet. It also reduces air resistance and cools the surface of the tire, in turn improving wear resistance. Silent Groove Design
