Uniroyal RainMax 3

Manufacturer's description

The summer tyre for vans and commercial vehicles.

  • Aquaplaning: Safe driving and short braking distances in wet conditions, developed to offer greater aquaplaning protection.
  • Handling: Outstanding handling and braking performance on dry roads.
  • Improved fuel efficiency: a better rolling resistance leads to a higher mileage and an improved fuel consumption

Notable Features

Uniroyal RainMax 3 is a non-directional rain summer tire for commercial vehicles and minivans. It is characterized by high hydroplaning resistance, excellent road holding ability, efficient wet braking, as well as low rolling resistance, and consistent dry handling response. Uniroyal RainMax 3 As one can easily guess, the Uniroyal RainMax 3 tire, presented in 2018, came to replace the RainMax 2. Compared to its predecessor, the third-generation tire, thanks to optimized tread pattern and improved rubber compound, has a number of leads in a few performance areas. Specifically, the rolling resistance was reduced by 6%, tread life was extended by 5%, and the dry and wet grip was improved by 6% and 10% respectively. Uniroyal RainMax 3 / Uniroyal RainMax 2 The innovative symmetric tread pattern of the Uniroyal Rain Max 3, with wide circumferential drainage grooves, provides good hydroplaning resistance and reduces wet braking distances, which improves driving safety in the rain. The efficient evacuation of water from the contact area improves the vehicle’s traction both when driving straight and while cornering. The innovative tread design enables reduced braking distance on wet roads. The stiffness ribs are diagonally cut with a multitude of slit-like sipes of varying depth. They increase the tire’s grip during sharp maneuvers and emergency braking. The Uniroyal RainMax 3 provides lightning-fast steering response at the slightest move of the wheel, allowing the driver to feel confident even if the truck or minivan is loaded to capacity. Outstanding handling and braking performance on dry roads The stability of the RainMax 3’s handling performance, due to its increased contact patch, optimizes the vehicle’s performance and braking on dry roads. The improved tyre tread geometry leads to reduced wear. This increases mileage and reduces fuel consumption. The improved tread geometry reduces fuel consumption and wear, at the same time increasing tread life, which is usually a big problem for light truck tires.

Uniroyal RainMax 3 is a rain tire for summer conditions, characterized by excellent stability on wet pavement and a good price/quality ratio.

The tires are very good. The vehicle they are mounted on covers many kilometers both in the city and on routes between cities. The tires stick well to the road and perform well on wet surfaces. I have no objections to them.

Tires perform very well even under heavy loads. They are quiet, they hold very well both on dry and wet asphalt. Unfortunately, I will not assess the economy in my car. As for durability, it is also too early to judge (about 7-8 thousand km).
