Bridgestone Corporation will supply original equipment tires for the electric crossover Toyota CH-R EV, which will also be manufactured as Izoa EV. Bridgestone and Toyota have already had some experience of working in this segment because earlier the tires manufactured by this company were adopted for the electric version of Corolla.
The new electric car will be fitted with Bridgestone Alenza 001 tires in size 215/60 R17, specially designed for SUVs and crossovers to ensure an even greater level of safety and comfort. According to the tire maker, due to the innovative grove pattern and rubber compound the tires became more durable, while the flat contact patch improves the braking performance on wet and dry pavements. In addition, the NanoPro-Tech technology allowed the engineers to modify the compound to minimize the energy losses and the rolling resistance.
