The digit 4 in the name of the new model indicates the fact that it belongs to the same generation of tires as Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and Michelin Primacy 4; however, being essentially the successor of Michelin Energy Saver+ (Plus), it only represents the third generation of the «green» line of this French brand.

The braking distance ensured by the new model in rainy weather became 5.5% shorter than that of its predecessor, the cabin noise was reduced by 5%, and the road noise was reduced by 8%.
