As SUVs, crossovers and pickup trucks are gaining popularity, Bridgestone Americas is striving to create tire products that follow these new trends.
At the Bridgestone conference held at the end of November 2021, the Director of Consumer Product Strategy and the Executive Director of Product Strategy and Product Portfolio Planning introduced dealers to some new developments that will be released in 2022. They include:
The Bridgestone WeatherPeak touring all-season model. This tire was developed in the wake of the success of the 2019 Firestone WeatherGrip model, which served as a technological donor;

The Bridgestone DriveGuard Plus with the Run-Flat technology, which, unlike the basic version, will feature an improved inner construction, says the tiresvote technical expert, as well as an optimized tread pattern for better wet and snow performance;

Firestone Firehawk AS V2. Based on the characteristics and value-for-money of the original all-season Firehawk AS model, the engineers have improved the behavior of the new tire model in harsh weather conditions;

In addition, in 2022 Bridgestone will release Bandag B713 tread belts (with the Bridgestone M713 Ecopia tread pattern) to be used on truck’s tandem axles on long-distance and regional routes, as well as Bandag BDR-W2 with an emphasis on stronger winter grip and higher resistance to wear.
