Yokohama Preparing to Launch Geolandar X-AT

On the 1st of July, Yokohama Tire Corp. is planning to start the sales of its new tire model of Rugged Terrain class named Geolandar X-AT. Designed for pickup trucks, Jeeps and SUVs, the X-AT goes on sale with 27 sizes planned, covering rim diameters of 15 to 22 inches — so far only in the North America.

The Geolandar X-AT offers safe off-road performance without sacrificing on-road comfort, making it a solid performance upgrade for a variety of pick-up trucks and SUVs regardless of where or how they are driven.

According to the tire maker, Geolandar X-AT occupies the middle position between the Geolandar A/T and Geolandar M/T models. Compared to the former, it is more aggressive in off-road conditions, and, compared to the latter, they ensure more riding comfort on paved roads.

In addition to its dependable performance, the Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tire also sports a dual sidewall design which allows the consumer to choose the appearance they like better before they have the tires installed on their vehicle.

YTC is backing the X-AT with a 72 000 km limited tread-wear warranty.

We will note here that the prototype of Geolandar X-AT was presented at SEMA motor show 2018 together with the Geolandar X-MT model. In the beginning of 2019, this Japanese tire maker also announced the release of X-CV crossover/luxury SUV tire, already available to dealers.
