Yokohama Geolandar X-AT is an extreme all-terrain tire designed for pickup trucks, Jeeps and SUVs. A new model 2019, more aggressive in off-road conditions than the Geolandar A/T, yet providing a smoother ride on paved roads than the Geolandar M/T. The Yokohama Geolandar X-AT G016 tire fits into a relatively new segment of R/T tires – a kind of “hybrids” for both on-road and off-road driving. The dual sidewall design allows the consumers to choose the appearance they like the best. However, this is not where the advantages of this model end. The Geolandar X-AT off-road traction is boosted by large “dynamic” shoulder blocks that increase the edge effect and prevent rocks and mud from sticking inside the tread. In addition, the center tread blocks, positioned at a certain tilt angle, ensure extra sturdiness and extra traction. The robust heavy-duty performance and increased resistance to puncture are the result of the proprietary Geo-Shield technology. Due to it, the Yokohama Geolandar XAT has multi-ply inner sidewalls combined with reliable inner construction. The Yokohama HD2 model utilizes rubber compound with an inclusion of triple polymer blend, developed to boost the tire’s resistance to tear and puncture, and significantly prolong tread life. The Geolandar X-AT tread pattern with zigzagging grooves is focused on enhancing the mechanic and acoustic comfort. The smooth and quiet ride is ensured by the zigzagging grooves in the Yokohama G016 tread that stop the stream of air, dampening the road noise.
