BFGoodrich Winter T/A KSI is a directional non-studded tire, designed for intense use in any winter conditions on passenger cars and SUVs. A new model of the winter season 2017/2018 that is characterized by reliable traction and excellent braking performance on winter surfaces, as well as by stable and precise handling response on wet and dry pavement. The BFGoodrich Winter T/A KSI was designed to replace the 2009 model BFGoodrich Winter Slalom KSI. What makes the new tire different from its predecessor is improved traction in deep snow, more confident behavior on ice, and better braking performance on both wet and dry pavements.

To some extent, this was achieved not only due to the absolutely new tread design, but also by the use of the rubber compound with a high content of silica, which, thanks to keeping the tread supple both at freezing temperatures and on a warm summer day, keeps up the high level of ground adhesion.

The directional tread pattern accounts for the BFGoodrich Winter T/A KSI quick self-cleansing from snow, slush, and water. The high density of sipes maximizes the edge effect, which strengthens the tire’s grip on ice and snow. The interlocking 3D sipes increase the stiffness of the shoulder tread blocks, which makes a positive difference to the tire’s lateral stability on winter surfaces and dry pavement. Due to the fact that the shoulders of the Winter T/A KSI model feature the same jagged profile as the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2, the tire boasts excellent “bite” in deep loose snow.

The continuous central stiffness rib of the BF Goodrich Winter TA KSI ensures good road holding ability and more precise steering response, particularly on snow-covered roads.

The wide transverse groves and large circumferential grooves quickly dispel water and slush from the contact area, thus improving the vehicle’s stability on wet pavement. The “saw-tooth” edges of the drainage grooves enhance the edge effect on snow and ice.
