Notable Features

Bridgestone Alenza 001 is a summer tire designed for premium-class city SUVs, which combines exemplary “road manners” and a sporty feel. A 2017 model that pioneered the new global sub-brand of this Japanese tire maker. The tire is characterized by excellent dry dynamics, reliable wet performance, low rolling resistance, and long tread life. Bridgestone Alenza 001 The Bridgestone Alenza 001 model is predominantly designed to be fitted on SUVs, which are becoming increasingly popular nowadays. The key features of this tire include reinforced carcass combined with modified sidewall structure, which maintains the stiffness, necessary for excellent dry performance, and a non-directional asymmetric tread design with an increased number of blocks, which ensures confident traction on wet and dry pavement alike, regardless of the driving direction. Alenza 001 / Predecessor This model utilizes the proprietary technology NanoPro–Tech. Ensuring control over compatibility of polymers, fillers, and other components of the rubber compound on the molecular level, this technology makes it possible to create new advanced materials for tire production. Alenza 001 positioning Specifically, the rubber compound used in the production of the Alenza 001 contributes to reducing rolling resistance and improving the braking performance without compromising tread life. We will emphasize that in comparison to the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport model the rolling resistance coefficient of the “first of Alenzas” is 19% lower. Deformation while braking The slanting sipes on the central stiffness rib increase the tire’s resistance to wear. They prevent tread block deformation that inevitably occurs during emergency maneuvers. The rounded edges of these blocks further boost the tire’s wet grip.

The main innovation used in this model, however, is the Japanese tire maker’s proprietary technology called Ultimate Eye. Due to digital visualization of the contact patch behavior at different speeds and in various conditions, this technology made it possible to effectively analyze the distribution of pressure in the contact area and come up with the perfect balance between tread profile, tread pattern, tread compound, and the inner construction of the tire. This led to exceptional braking performance virtually in any summer weather conditions.
