Dunlop Sport All Season

Description

The Dunlop Sport All Season tire represents a significant milestone as the first all-season offering in Dunlop's history. Launched in 2020, this standard touring all-season tire aims to provide a well-balanced performance for passenger cars across a wide range of conditions. Primarily marketed in Europe, it holds noteworthy ranks in Auto Bild's large all-season tire tests.

Features & Benefits

  • Exceptional Handling: The tire boasts high precision and quick steering response on dry roads, thanks to its asymmetrical tread pattern and durable carcass.
  • Effective Braking: Its design allows for a reduced braking distance on wet roads by efficiently draining water from the contact zone, ensuring a reliable grip.
  • Versatile Temperature Performance: Comprising multifunctional polymers, the tire's rubber compound maintains elasticity over a wide temperature range, providing good weather resistance in both hot and cold climates.
  • Improved Maneuverability: Wide, reinforced shoulder areas enhance stability and handling when cornering.

Final Thoughts

With its debut as Dunlop's first all-season tire, the Sport All Season offers a well-rounded performance profile designed to handle a variety of driving conditions. Its multiple technological features—from its asymmetrical tread to its innovative rubber compound—work cohesively to offer drivers a reliable, versatile, and safe driving experience, making it a compelling option for those in mild winter climates.

As of 2021, Goodyear released the Eagle Sport 4Season model in the Turkish market, which is essentially an exact replica of the Dunlop Sport All Season. This is mainly due to the territorial rights associated with the Dunlop brand in Turkey, which are held by the Japanese company Sumitomo.

I only drove the Dunlop Sport All Season 4,000 km, but the first impressions are very positive. Safe, precise and quiet on dry roads. I liked the tire's cornering responsibility. On wet surfaces performance is quite good too. I'm not not impressed with the slush and snow grip. On packed and slippery snow, the grip is slightly worse than in the dry, but we are talking about all-season tires. I recommend be careful on icy surfaces. I recommend.
