Giti GitiWinter W1 (presented on the eve of the winter season 2017/2018) is a directional friction winter tire that was specifically designed to be fitted on compact passenger cars and SUVs. Its key features include high hydroplaning and slushplaning resistance, maximum traction under freezing temperatures, smooth noiseless ride, and optimized fuel consumption. The Giti GitiWinter W1 model, just as the new summer models 2017 Giti GitiPremium H1, Giti GitiPremium H1 SUV, Giti GitiSport S1, Giti GitiSport S1 SUV, and Giti GitiSynergy E1, was designed at this Singapore tire maker’s European Development Center located in Hannover, Germany

This explains the ease with which this new development obtained the TUV SUD certificate that proves its longevity, noiselessness, low rolling resistance, and, of course, the safety of use on wet and dry pavement. The winter HP tire Giti GitiWinter W1 was tested by the experts of TUV Services GmbH in February-March 2017. The test cars VW Golf VII (1.4 TSI, 1.6 TDI, 2.0 TDI) were fitted with 205/55 R16 91H tires. The directional symmetric tread pattern of the Giti Winter W1 increases the vehicle’s stability on wet pavement and snow. The winter 3D sipes that cover all of the tread blocks ensure dependable grip on snow covered roads, both longitudinal and traversal. In addition, directional tread pattern comes in really handy on melting snow – the wide drainage grooves quickly dispel water and slush from the contact area, thus combating hydroplaning and slushplaning very early on.

The heavily siped tread blocks in the shoulder areas, as well as the design of the sidewall upper section, improve Giti GitiWinter W1 maneuverability in deep snow.
