ADAC: Winter Tire Test R15 2016
In the dimension 185/65 R15, which is suitable for small and compact cars, 15 winter tires with the speed index T were tested by the ADAC. In addition to the wide midfield two brand tires cut particularly well. Nevertheless, the study of the details is worthwhile.

Very balanced winter tires with top marks in fuel consumption. Especially good on snow. Good in the wet.
Michelin Alpin A4
Very balanced winter tires with top marks on wear. Especially good on dry roads. Relatively good on ice.
Nokian WR D4
In principle quite balanced. Relatively good on ice. Slightly weaker on a wet road.
Vredestein Snowtrac 5
Good on dry roads. Slightly weaker on wet, snow and ice.
ESA-Tecar Super Grip 9
Good on dry roads and on snow. Slightly weaker on wet and ice.

Top marks on dry roads. Slightly weaker in the wet, snow and ice.
Bridgestone Blizzak LM001
Good on snow. Slightly weaker on dry and wet and especially on ice.
Pirelli Cinturato Winter
Especially good on wet and snow. Top mark on ice. Slight weaknesses on dry roads.

Top grade in the wet. Good in the snow. Relatively weak on a dry road.
Nexen Winguard Snow'G WH2
Top marks on dry roads. Relatively quiet. Slightly weaker on snow and ice, and especially on wet.

Top grade on snow. Weak on a dry road. Slight weaknesses on ice.

Good on dry and snowy roads. Low wear. Weak in the wet.

Top grade on snow. Weak in the wet. Slightly weaker on dry roads.
Firestone Winterhawk 3
Good on a dry road. Low fuel consumption. Very weak in the wet. Weaknesses even on snow.
