The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 won this 225/40 R18 all-season test by a narrow points margin, combining best-in-test dry braking, straight aquaplaning and lateral aquaplaning with excellent wet and dry handling. It also delivered strong snow traction and good comfort, with no serious weakness across the test. Only wet braking and snow handling sat a step behind its own class-leading results.

The Goodyear Vector All Season 4 finished second, narrowly behind the Pirelli. It led snow traction, was among the best in snow handling, and paired excellent wet and dry handling with the lowest rolling resistance in the test. Dry braking and straight aquaplaning were good rather than class-leading, which kept it from the top step.

The Michelin CrossClimate 3 took third and is the winter specialist of the group, winning snow braking outright and placing at the front in snow traction and snow handling. It was comfortable and reasonably efficient, but wet and dry handling sat mid-field, dry braking was only satisfactory and aquaplaning resistance did not match the leaders.

The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 shared fourth with the Hankook as a reliable, balanced performer. It was strong in dry braking, wet braking, snow braking and lateral aquaplaning, with competitive snow traction. Rolling resistance was only adequate, snow handling was merely satisfactory, and interior noise and comfort trailed the best.

The Hankook Kinergy 4S2 tied with the Bridgestone for fourth, with very good wet braking and wet handling plus dry handling close to the front. Snow braking and traction were solid. It lost ground on dry braking, snow handling, rolling resistance, noise and comfort.

The Nokian Seasonproof 2 finished just behind the fourth-place pair. It led wet braking, was strong in straight aquaplaning and good in wet handling, with solid rolling resistance. Snow braking and traction were weaker, snow handling was only mid-field, and dry braking and dry handling were not strengths.

The Continental AllSeasonContact 2 finished mid-field, disappointing relative to its usual form. It was the quietest tire and among the most comfortable, with good rolling resistance and decent snow traction. Wet handling, dry braking, snow handling and cornering stability were the main weaknesses.

The Kumho Solus 4S HA32+ finished last among the scored tires. It was respectable in wet handling and wet braking, and snow braking and traction were competitive, but dry braking was the worst in test, snow handling was last, and straight aquaplaning was the weakest.
