Continental AllSeasonContact

Continental AllSeasonContact is a directional all-season passenger tire, which was introduced by the German tire giant in 2017. This model is characterized by effective wet and dry braking in summer, reliable traction on wet and snow-covered roads in winter, as well as the best fuel efficiency performance in its class.

The Continental AllSeasonContact is the first all-season development of this tire maker, who, until 2017, insisted on recommending using specialized seasonal tires. Reality, however, as you know, dictates its own conditions, and the ever-growing demand for all-season made the German tire giant reconsider its attitude.

Now Continental does believe that under some certain circumstances all-season tires can become a viable alternative. These «certain circumstances» imply a car with low mileage, trips exclusively within the city limits, and mild climatic conditions, especially in winter. Only if all of these conditions are met, Continental can guarantee that the AllSeasonContact tires will ensure your full control over the road situation.

The impressive traction that the first Continental all-season tire demonstrated on snow-covered and slippery surfaces was due to the use of an adaptive, and indeed «all-season», Traction Silica Compound.

Thanks to a high content of silica, the tread compound always stays supple and elastic, which allows this model to easily adapt to various weather conditions in the wintertime.

The Continental AllSeasonContact tire also demonstrates reliable performance under any summer conditions: high hydroplaning resistance is provided by a directional design with open shoulder areas, while control stability and excellent braking performance on dry pavement are ensured by stiff tread elements with a minimum number of sipes.

Extremely low rolling resistance of this all-season product is due to the optimized geometry of the sidewalls and the optimum tread depth. These two contribute to considerable reduction of the fuel consumption by the vehicle without compromising any other safety aspects.
