The EfficientGrip Cargo 2 is a new summer tire that responds to the needs of consumers in the rapidly growing light commercial vehicle segment.

Durability Plus Technology (+38% Improved Durability. New compound results in higher resistance at high temperatures. The tread has more resillience against harsh road conditions)
Wet Braking Technology (8% Shorter wet braking. A new traction resin helps the compound to deform during the wet braking maeuver which results in a higher braking efficiency, thus shorter braking distance).

Notable Features

Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo 2, presented as a replacement for the EfficientGrip Cargo model, is a summer tire with improved wet performance and extended tread life, which also has fuel saving capabilities. During in-company tests it was established that, due to the new tread compound, the Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo 2 is more resistant to high temperatures, and can tackle harsh road conditions more successfully. This was achieved by making the tread 38% sturdier than that of its predecessor. The new-generation tread compound also contributes to improving braking performance and reducing the EfficientGrip Cargo 2 wet braking distance by 8%.

As for the tread pattern of the EG Cargo 2, the engineers decided to borrow it from the predecessor model. Because of the absence of visible changes, the only way to tell the difference will be to carefully read the information on the sidewall.
