When developing the Nexen N’Fera Primus, the engineers primarily focused on ensuring driving safety on wet roads, thanks to which the tire received three wide circumferential grooves, aided by an auxiliary one (3+1) for more efficient evacuation of water from the contact area and increasing straight hydroplaning resistance. A network of diagonal 3D-sipes also speeds up evacuation of water from the contact patch, which strengthens grip and improves the tire’s wet braking performance. In addition, these 3D sipes improve dry handling stability of the Nexen N’Fera Primus during high-speed cornering. The three ribs in the central section of the tread are characterized by extra stiffness, which was done to improve road holding ability and overall handling performance.

The tread wear indicator of the Nexen N’Fera Primus has a name of its own – it is called “Wear Eye”. It helps the motorist to quickly assess the tread condition and make a timely decision about tire replacement.
