The cancelled Tire Cologne Show 2020 left many tire makers devoid of the opportunity to present their new models designed for the European market. We already wrote about Giti Tire and Kenda; now it has become known that another company that planned to take part in that show was Hankook Tire that counted on getting quite a lot of hype around its new winter tires Winter i*cept evo3 (W330) and Winter i*cept evo3 X (W330A), as well as the models G FIT EQ+ and S FIT EQ+ from the renewed selection of the subsidiary brand Laufenn.

The new premium models from this Korean tire maker are designed for mild winter conditions and heavy use on wet and slushy roads with melted snow. For this reason, unlike their predecessors, the new models got a symmetric directional V-shaped tread design that increases hydroplaning and slushplaning resistance. In addition, Hankook mentions the improved snow traction and resistance to lateral skid.
