Despite the shakeups caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, Korea’s Nexen Tire did not give up on its plans for strengthening its position in Europe. This is evidenced by the fact that in 2020 the company is launching three new models on this regional market: the all-season model Nexen N Blue 4Season Van, the summer model Nexen N Fera Sport SUV, and the off-road model Nexen Roadian MTX.
The Nexen N Blue 4Season Van will stop the gap in the company’s all-season line of tires. According to the manufacturer, this new commercial tire model is designed to support your business in any season because it ensures confident road behavior even during a heavy snowfall. Interesting is the fact that in Japan, where this model will also be sold, it will only be available in two sizes — 215/60 R16 and 195/80 R15. As far as the options for the European market are concerned, information on them is not yet available.
The summer tire model Nexen N’Fera Sport SUV, which has a tread pattern borrowed from the passenger-car tire model N’Fera Sport (SU2), presented two years earlier, is coming to replace the Nexen N’Fera RU1. The company notes that these tires will be manufactured at the European Nexen manufacturing facility in Zatec, Czech Republic.
The mud tire model Nexen Roadian MTX was presented at SEMA Show in Las Vegas in 2017, and it has only recently reached the European continent. It was designed to tackle the harshest of off-road conditions, which is evidenced by the MXT acronym in its name, which stands for Mud Terrain Xtreme.
It is also worth mentioning that for the Korean market Nexen also prepared a «home-cooked» model. This is the all-season model Nexen N’Fera Primus AS T1, designed to be fitted on premium-class mid- and large-size cars. Its key feature, in addition to safe traction on wet and dry pavements, is excellent riding comfort.
