GT Radial Champiro FE2 (presented in 2021) is a High Performance passenger tire. This model is characterized by excellent wet grip, noiseless ride, and low rolling resistance, which by default means fuel saving capabilities. The GT Radial Champiro FE2 came to replace the Champiro FE1 model. The second generation has a lead over its predecessor in every performance area having to do with safety and operation. Specifically, tread life, braking performance, and dry handling response were improved (by 5%). The biggest advances were made in hydroplaning resistance (+7%), handling response (+13%), and wet braking (+17%). The Champiro FE2 tread pattern with four (four ribs for tires with tread width ≤195 mm) or five rigid ribs ensures high driving comfort, precise steering and quick braking in all weather conditions. The capacious drainage grooves contribute to quick evacuation of water from the contact area and boosting the tire’s wet grip. The innovative tread compound ensures the GT Radial Champiro FE2 grip on the road surface in a wide range of summer temperatures, at the same time reducing rolling resistance. The optimized lightweight carcass of the tire accounts for lower carbon emissions and fuel economy.

The tread profile of this model prevents uneven wear, which extends the tire’s service life.
