Auto Bild: Winter Tire Test R15 2018

In the first major winter tire test of the season "Autobild" tests more than 50 tires in the format 195/65 R15.

All winter tires were subjected to a safety test in a qualifying lap: braking distances were measured on a wet track (from 80 km / h, test vehicle VW Golf ) and on snow (from 50 km / h). Out of a total of 51 winter tires, 21 were sorted out on wet roads after the first pass - too long braking distances. After the second pass on snow, another ten tires dropped out. Only the twenty winter tires with the shortest braking distances from both passes added to the final round.
