ADAC: All-Season Tire Test R17 2025

ADAC: All-Season Tire Test R17

All-season tires aren’t built for one forecast—they're built for all of them. In 2025, ADAC tested sixteen all-season tires in the versatile 225/45 R17 size, combining wet, dry, snow, and environmental assessments in one of the most demanding test protocols to date.

From full-speed aquaplaning to icy deceleration, the test exposed how tires balance performance trade-offs across seasons. Familiar names like Goodyear, Continental, and Michelin defended their reputations, while newer and budget-focused models revealed where cost-cutting turns into corner-cutting. In a year where longevity and winter traction mattered as much as wet braking and precision, only a few tires proved capable of replacing both summer and winter sets with real confidence.
